Why might an audio URL fail to load?
The host must allow your browser to fetch the file (CORS). If loading fails, download the file and use our free audio to text upload instead.
Is the audio URL uploaded to Whisper AI for transcription?
The browser fetches the file from the link you provide. Transcription itself runs locally — we do not receive your audio for the speech-to-text step.
What links work best?
Direct links to audio files (for example .mp3 or .wav) work best. Pages that require login or return HTML instead of audio may not load.
Is URL to text free without registration?

Is this transcription tool really free?
